Chapter 9 : THE BETRAYAL
Maximilian spent the next few weeks in his cell, awaiting trial for his escape and for the crimes he had committed before. He used his time wisely, reading books and reflecting on his life.
One day, he received a visitor. It was Isadora, the woman he had spoken to on the street. She looked different now, her hair was styled, and she wore makeup. She smiled at him as she sat down, and for a moment, Maximilian forgot that he was in prison.
